Tiny Fiction: A Shared Dream
They moved, darting and dashing but always together. They shared a dream and it was a sight to behold, maybe even beautiful. I shouted into the water, “Wake up! Wake out of your dream!” But they did not listen. I threw a large rock into the water, right into their midst and they scattered, but before I even caught my breath, they were back together, sharing their dream, once again.
“Have I become cruel? Maybe I’m the one that needs to wake up.” I thought.
And in their dream they turned, every single one of them and looked at me.
