We walked on water, we had no choice. God told us not to do anything that might give us away, but at that point it was the only choice in our predicament. But when the people showed up, we knew we had to halt our mission and stay still – even if it meant rooting in the middle of the lake. There we were, Angels disguised as trees, standing in waist-deep water. That’s when the boats started showing up, with the wretched souls seeking to unload their confessions. So we listened and we whispered back words of love and we forgot about our original mission, we were already where we should be.
