The Decision

Looking at the bridge, he said, “That’s the only way there. If you make it, we will never see you again. But if you don’t, you’ll haunt our dreams forever.”
The wind died.
Quietly, he continued, “And if you stay, you’ll eventually have the same haunted dreams as the rest of us.”
