Tiny Fiction: The Vault
I paid good money for this. Now, I felt like I was locking away a part of my soul. I walked into the vault and the guard closed the door behind me, surprisingly soft. I looked around me and it was, just as they said, completely empty. I inhaled deeply and on my exhale, in a rush of words, I spoke my secret. I drifted down to the floor, like a deflated balloon. After several minutes the vault door opened and I picked myself up. I left that vault feeling lighter. I glanced back into its emptiness, where my secret would now be kept safe, forever.
