Cherry Tree Path

The Cherry Tree Path

Within my imagination is a rich place filled with great halls made of blooming cherry trees (or plum, apricot, pear, almond, etc.). When I was a girl there were two ornamental cherry trees planted in our yard, below my bedroom window. In the spring I used to lie in the grass under the trees staring up at the full, pink blossoms. We would dance in the breeze of pink snow as the petals floated softly to the ground and I would imagine enchanting, magical and beautiful things. It seemed impossible to avoid their spell.

This image is practice, because over the years I have never been able to really capture the sense of wonderment brought about by flowering trees. I walk in an orchard, spellbound, unable to wrap my mind around how to show you with an image. This is an attempt, one amongst many already made and likely, many more to come. But until then, I hope you can imagine yourself walking down the enchanted cherry tree path and in such a world, what else is possible?

Practice is good in one sense of keeping thinking and seeing. The other thing you can practice is giving yourself cred when a photo does work and keeping your doubts to yourself. this image is splendid on its own. I do not really need to hear you are not satisfied with it.
