That’s what he said, Raymond, the old fisherman in his ancient waders and thick, frizzy red beard, who always called the shots. They picked it all up – every last bit and piece of shell, seaweed and driftwood from “Miracle Beach”. No one ever argued or questioned Raymond. Things were working in his mind that the rest of us couldn’t even fathom, or that was my theory. But to keep the jellyfish, that was so unusual, even for Raymond.
“But you’ve never asked us to save a jellyfish before!” stammered Piper and a hush fell over the crowd.
“That’s because we’ve never had one to save! Don’t be foolish. This jelly may just well be what ends up saving us!” barked Raymond.
